Ahrens Orthodontics- Louisville

I have not gotten my braces on yet, but I made a consultation and I am super happy I did. First off I had done a consultation with another big name orthodontist and they quoted me a price that was $400 dollars more and I had to do all the foot work for my insurance coverage. Ahrens Orthodontics has superb customer service, great price and most importantly they treated me like a person and not a dollar sign. I would highly recommend them. I am looking forward to a new smile 14 months from now and will update this again then. Status Update. My braces are off and I will miss the office visits because they treat you like family. Dr. Ahrens has an outstanding team who are friendly, professional, and kind. I am incredibly pleased with my overall experience and the end results. I am grateful that I found Ahrens orthodontics. Highly recommended!!!

I was referred to Dr. Gerry Ahrens for orthodontics when it was determined that I lacked sufficient bone structure for an implant to fill the space where a front tooth had been pulled. Wearing braces, at my age, was not appealing, but neither was the gap left by the extraction. Today, right on schedule, my braces have been removed and the space has been totally closed just as Dr. Ahrens said. His “crew” and he have been fantastic! They were always professional and courteous while maintaining a happy family atmosphere. I highly recommend Dr. Ahrens and his crew regardless of one’s age.

The Kleins love Ahrens Orthodontics! Our son had such a great experience with Dr. Gerry Ahrens and his braces. He and his staff are very professional, friendly, and make the process fun. Besides my son’s beautiful teeth, my favorite thing was receiving a handwritten thank you card from my son thanking US for getting him braces! As a mother, I want to believe my son came up with the idea…but I think maybe it was Dr. Ahrens?. Giving them 5 stars because I would recommend them every time for children and adults!

I have had TMJ issues for over 40 years. Ahrens Orthodontics took my case after many other unsuccessful attempts failed to help me. Through their efforts they designed a special Invisalign treatment to adjust my bite and therefore my jaw. It was so successful that I continued with further Invisalign therapy accomplishing a better smile. The entire office is so great. I am thrilled with my results.

Ahrens is an amazing orthodontist. Everyone who works there is helpful and kind, and I was able to get my braces off ahead of schedule. This was actually the second orthodontist I’d been to and it’s just such a better experience. I can’t recommend it enough.

all I can say is Ahrens Orthodontics is like home to us. The staff is always friendly to me and my kids. My son started when he was 12 (braces)and my daughter when she was 10 (horrible bite issues- appliances- and then braces) Drs Ahrens are great orthodontists who can articulate to a parent what your child needs and if there are options, offer options. And they filed our insurance and followed up on it when my insurance was not paying in a timely fashion- Jeannie in the office is so good at explaining your insurance and what your personal cost will be. They are the best! Highly recommend.

My Daughters case was not any easy one. They did a fabulous job. We could not be happier!!

I had some very serious issues with my teeth and Dr. Ahrens devised a plan that helped me avoid a serious and expensive surgery. I now have beautiful teeth and can smile with complete confidence. I must say that I got my braces in the 80’s when Dr. Ahrens was the ONLY orthodontist in Oldham County. My teeth at over 40 years old are still straight and still have no cavities because he is so adamant about brushing!! My older sister and brother also had braces with Dr. Ahrens and everyone that went to Oldham Co schools. My children now have braces with Dr Ahrens and Dr. Gerry and the dentist said she has never seen a better orthodontist job than my son! How proud I am that my orthodontist also did such a 125% perfect job on my son!! Today my daughter started and i cannot be anymore confident that it will be perfect. The staff are absolutely the best ever and if you need anything just call and they will take care of you!! You will be amazed at the best service and personal care. If you have any questions, just call, they will ease your mind!

My Fiance' and I went to Ahren's Orthodontics to see what our options were to correct some not so straight teeth for our upcoming wedding. My fiance was a candidate for the clear correct retainers, where I had to get braces. But after 9 months for my fiance' and 7 months for me, we were able to show off our new smiles on our wedding day. Dr. Ahren and the office staff are all so friendly and accommodating. They were available and flexible with scheduling appointments or with any questions.

I would not recommend this guy to my worst enemy. He does give you straight teeth, but the price you pay physically is not worth it. After experiencing pain with my jaw and my dentist explaining I should be able to open up my mouth a lot wider, I decided to get some images taken from an orthodontist. I then took the images to be examined by 2 different dentists. They came to the same conclusion. The condyles on the side of my jaw had been crushed by moving the teeth the opposite way they should have. This not only led to chronic pain, but also my PCP said it had caused arthritis in my neck too. I've had to be careful that what I eat is not too hard and opening my mouth enough to floss is painful. See at your own risk.

Did well with my teeth

I recently finished my ortho treatment at Ahrens Orthodontics. I work in a dentist office myself and with that being said, I had high expectations for my end results. I went into ortho primarily for function purposes. I am very excited with how my teeth look and feel! Both Gerry and Doug Ahrens are terrific orthodontist and I would highly recommend their office.

I'm so thankful for Dr. Ahren's. The service is top notch and all the staff are very attentive and kind. I just got my braces off and my smile is perfect. I've been with them since 2016. Any little issues that I've had with my mouth along the way they have quickly resolved, any questions I had they answered. I can't think of one thing to complain about. I recommend Dr. Ahren's for anyone looking for a good trustworthy Ortho to go to. Was well worth every penny spent!!

Ahrens straightened my oldest daughter’s teeth, my son’s teeth and mine! They look stunning! I’d recommend them to anyone! The in house financing is awesome too! Take it from Modern Miss KY 2017 and Modern Miss US 2018. I wouldn’t let anyone else straighten my teeth and make my smile beautiful besides Ahrens!

We have completed two rounds of braces at Ahrens, one for me as an adult and one for my daughter. Both experiences were exemplary! Drs. I am delighted to say that I am the proud owner of a brand new smile! I once hated to smile and laugh due to my insecurities but now I can't stop smiling! I didn't feel weird being an adult with braces and the staff were super friendly. I highly recommend Ahrens Orthodontics to anyone.

I first went to Ahrens June of 2014 and they quickly took X-rays, pictures, impressions and told us how long and how much my treatment would be. They were faster, more efficiant and cheeper than their competitors. The dental problems I had were a few but serious, they always gave us several referrals to choose from and I always had great experiences with the ones I chose . The staff quickly gets to know their patients and cases, always wanting to know how you're doing and excited to see you're dental progress. From early on I was always greeted by the incredibly sweet staff in a happy tone on a first name basis. I always truly felt like they were glad to see me, making my appointments all the more enjoyable. Ahrens doesn't have that factory made, its all about the money, business vibe where you are kept waiting for long periods of time and talked about by case numbers. Its easy to tell they care more about the work they do for the kids that see them every day. While most kids and teenagers hate the rubber bands, chains and wires they have to wear, the staffs positive attitude helps them see the bright side of it all, how its not scary or embarrassing but rather a further step towards progress and the amazing end result. Ahrens was always honest about my progress and what I needed to have done, including jaw surgery which sounds scary but couldn't have been more worth it. They didn't let any fear build up over surgery only excitement, I was wished good luck and given lots of hugs the appointment before my surgery. Even after surgery he was honest about the few months after and leading up to when i would get my braces off. He simply said ill take them off next appointment or the one after, they never took the easy way out to end treatment as quick as possible but rather getting the job done right the first time around. There was no "oh ill take them off next visit" every time you see them. They always made it easy to set appointments working around my schedule, and time preferences. I couldn't have been happier with my end result after a little over 2 years! I've been able to get to know the staff, and beyond glad to have such wonderful people play a big role in this part of my life.

Dr. Ahrens, both father & son are Wonderful!! Their team is very friendly, accommodating and very knowledgeable. I truly don't think my son would have had a better experience at any other orthodontist office. Not too many people like their teeth messed with but my son did not mind his visits at all. I can say almost looked forward to them. I can't thank them enough for taking such Great care of & time with my son!! ☆☆☆☆☆

After years of crowded teeth and a crooked smile, I decided as an adult that I needed braces. I met with Dr. Ahrens, his staff explained everything to me from the procedural and financial end, and I gladly became his patient. The entire experience was as pleasant as possible (given the nature of wearing braces), and I have Dr. Ahrens and his staff to thank. I paid for everything out of pocket, and they worked with me to make it fit in my family's budget. Best of all, it's been several years since I completed my care, and I regularly get compliments on my teeth (during the photographs for my friend's wedding, the photographer even referred to me as "the groomsman with the great teeth"). I can't recommend this practice highly enough.

I don't normally write reviews, and I'm someone who is hard to please with goods/services, so it takes a high bar of excellence to prompt me to write a Google review. Simply put, this is the most satisfied I've ever been with a local business. My wife met with Dr. Gerry about 9 months ago and began her Invisalign treatment. Since then, progress has been fast and the friendly office staff could not have been more accommodating. They work with our busy schedules, and appointments never last longer than 30 minutes. In fact, I don't think she's ever actually had to sit down in the waiting room! They're that efficient! I highly recommend Ahrens Orthodontics to ALL of my friends and family.
