A Family Dental Place

I wish I could give zero star! I am very disappointed in this black owned business. In November 2021 I was recommended to get a deep cleaning and fill in. Dr.Jones went over my costs and assured I needed the deep cleaning and gave me the break down of what my insurance would pay and what I owed. I paid the agreed upon amount and received my service. On 11/06/21 I paid the amount of $247.30. My insurance denied their claim for the deep cleaning because they stated Dr. Jones and Dr. Renea did not submit efficient evidence that proves a deep cleaning was needed. Dr. Jones office did not resubmit a claim to the insurance company and provide the evidence needed to support the diagnoses that a deep cleaning was needed. Instead I received voicemails and text messages on a Sunday in January months later that I owe them $404.10 for the deep cleaning. I am still in the works of pursuing a lawsuit for malpractice! Beware this dentist office does recommended procedures you do not need and in return will hold you accountable fit the Bill! I refuse to pay for a deep cleaning I did not need especially when they are unwilling to resubmit a claim to prove that the procedure was needed. I am very disappointed In how they are treating me and the customer service is terrible!

Awesome experience! Staff is very warm and inviting. Dr. Jones is very down to earth and very knowledgeable. I've never looked forward to going to the dentist...until now.

renee was so informative and walked me though every step and shared ALOT of information i never knew about versus other dentists offices i visited …. everybody i encountered was very nice instructive i highly recommend them if your looking for a great team to care for your teeth! ❤️

Very nice people, very professional and always on time with patients appointment time. This office has always returned my phone calls. They give you best options in how to proceed with your dental needs, even if they have to refer you some where else depending on the criteria of your mouth. Awesome people, awesome practice, awesome job (AFDP)!!!

I am a new patient to this dentist office. I located this office through the website of my dental insurance. Upon checking in I was treated with professional and courteous service. There was an ease of completing forms with the use of a tablet. Explanations were clear while getting X-rayed. The dental hygienist explained what was seen on the x-rays in terms that I could understand. The dentist explained well the dental treatments going forward. Overall I am very pleased with services I have received thus far.

First of all I love the atmosphere which is very welcoming. Dr. Jones is an awesome dentist whose very thorough and advises you on everything concerning your teeth , gums and required and recommended treatment. Dr. Jones staff is also awesome. Kendra, Ashley, and Renee are like someone you've known all your life, great conversation in the midst of doing their task. Thank all of you ladies for what you do make smiles beautiful and complete. No one is ever excited to go to the dentist, however when I come here its totally different. Dr. Jones and the staff are all so nice, warm, and welcoming. Great customer service, never a long wait, and always receive amazing service.

I wish I could give more stars!! We received an appointment within 3 days. Everyone in the office is GREAT! Not only are they knowledgeable, but kind and pleasant. I took my 70 yr old mother to see Dr. Jones and she made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. I will definitely refer friends and family looking for a dentist.

OMG ! First visit went so smooth. Everyone was so polite. My three year old daughter and I had an appointment, they got us in and out. They are one big family here and I love it! They treated my baby so well! I wish I can rate them 10 stars !!!!!!!

If your looking for 5 star service look no further. I was greeted and treated like family upon entry! Renee the hygienist did a phenomenal job on cleaning my teeth and providing tips to maintain healthy oral care. Dr. Jones is very professional and personable. She detailed my treatment, cost and scheduling. I have found a new dental home and will definitely refer to friends.

Was a fan until I had a crown and bridge put in. I felt the excruciating pain of my teeth being ground away through the entire surgery. I did explain to her that I felt the pain afterwards but it was too late. I later asked to see the doctor about what I thought was am infection and was NEVER reached back out to for an appointment. Steer clear of this dentist if you value your mouth. They will try to sell you $300 toothbrushes instead of fixing your problems.

As a new patient, it's always welcoming to receive excellent customer service with a smile which is exactly the service I received at this office. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

What a wonderful experience! The staff of A Family Dental Place not only settled my insurance issues, educated me about my policy, but deep cleaned my teeth and left me excited for my return visit! Everyone was friendly and very professional. They listened to my concerns and came up with a plan for my dental health. Dr. Jones and staff are amazing!

When I say this was the BEST dental experience I've had in a long time. I was really nervous about come due to past dentist experience. For me to have been a new patient I was treated as if I've been coming for years. So welcoming by everyone. It just felt good all nerves went away. I'm looking forward to my next appointments. This lady( Dr jones) is a wolf in sheeps clothing . To keep it simple. She plays gospel music, but has a strong negative/nasty energy that she can’t hide.Don’t waste your time

Everyone was so polite, it felt like home. Dr. Jones explained what was going on with my teeth, and how to fix the problem. My personal dental hygienist always knowledgeable, giving me good advice whether I follow or not, smile. Never judgemental, but encouraging. I am the BIGGEST baby when it comes to the dentist! I’m talking crying before I even walked through the door. But as soon as I walked through the door it was a vibe! The waiting area has a comfy, home-like feel with smooth R&b playing. I let them know I need the kiddie treatment and they let me know I’m in good hands. Dr. Mel Jones did an AMAZING job at keeping me calm and explaining what needed to be done. The whole team is amazing! If you aren’t coming here to get dental work or your grillz made or cleaned then you’re cheating yourself !! Trust me, this is coming from a big baby lol.

The first visit at family dentist was very relaxing they made you feel welcome and at home they explained detail of what's going on or what's about to happen,they have excellent customer service and people skills and the environment is very calming I would recommend them to anyone.

My visit to A Family Dental Place was comforting and reassuring as usual. Dr. Jones and her staff are knowledgeable, gentle and responsive! All essential qualities when you have a toothache! The office environment is warm and relaxing. Of all the offices I could take a chance for a walk in in the midst of a toothache...I drove all the way to Riverdale because I knew that I would be taken care of with the utmost care and expediency.

Dr. Jones is AMAZING. Sweet, kind, knowledgeable, and relatable. Every time I visit I never wait long, the staff is friendly and helpful and they help to calm your nerves. The atmosphere is peaceful and clean. Not to mention Dr. Jones is a Black and God fearing woman! Love it and will recommend it to anyone that asks!

Dr.Jones is AWESOME!! I honestly was so scared to have my tooth pulled b/c duh! It’s a tooth getting pulled lol! Also because I had never had it done, but she made it amazing! Very fast and no pain what so ever! She made me feel SAFE and CARED FOR while going through the procedure and I literally left smiling!

I was experiencing a dental emergency and was unable to get an appointment with Great Expressions my assigned dentist for weeks despite having an infection that was causing excruciating pain. I did a Google Search and found Dr. Jones. They gave me a next day appointment and were awesome. I was in so much pain, tears were over taking me. I had not slept or eaten in over 24 hours. Dr. JONES and her entire staff were understanding, patient, caring and went above and beyond in finding a dentist to do my ER extraction. I give them 10 stars!!!! I left her office with pain medicine and a antibiotic to treat the infection until I can have the tooth extracted. And sidebar, the office is beautifully decorated. Warm notes and lots of beautiful plants!

Staff is always friendly, caring and detail oriented. They get you in and out at a timely manner.

I walked right in, signed in, rinsed my mouth and the hygienist was ready for me. She was done in less than 45 minutes and I was on my way. She and Dr Jones were thorough in checking to be sure I had no problems-very pleased with the entire process.

I came in and got my exam, cleaning, and fillings on the same day. My tongue is always an unwilling participant but they worked around that on the x-rays lol. The decor and ambiance is cool in the office with the music and the decorations and it doesn’t feel stuffy like a normal boring dental office.

Dr. Jones and The TEAM there are exactly a even match to the amount of stars earned with this review! No robbery service...only quality, efficiency and satisfaction from the visit. BIG THANKS!!!!
